For the first time in 16 years, you’re not here on your birthday. But I kept my promise, and our Ranch is now open for business. The house continues to be elusive at best, but with your help, this little dust bowl isn’t so bad. I will think of you extra today, as I loved making your birthdays extra special. Which was your favorite? Certainly not Vegas, or even the fountain of youth in FL (which tasted terrible), maybe the time at Dog Days of Buffalo, or in 2021 when we first discovered Oregon in my truck. You never did seem to notice your birthday was a day unlike every other, extra cookies & toys, but we were lucky to have many days like that, weren’t we? Home is with you, happiness is with you, so I can’t help but miss you so. It wouldn’t be so hard if our love wasn’t so deep, and I’m grateful for that.
