Swim Spa

At Golden Girl Ranch, we use a swim spa for our hydrotherapy sessions because the warm water offers unparalleled benefits for your dog’s well-being. The therapeutic warmth promotes relaxation and comfort, increasing blood circulation and alleviating pain and stiffness. This environment is especially beneficial for dogs recovering from surgery or dealing with age-related issues, as it allows them to move freely and safely, encouraging effective healing.

As the Golden Girls would say, “Thank you for being a friend” — and at Golden Girl Ranch, we’re committed to being a warm, supportive space where every dog can thrive!

Benefits of a Swim Spa

A woman in a hot tub holding a golden retriever dog. The dog appears relaxed in the woman's arms while they both enjoy the water. The setting looks cozy and informal.
  • The swim spa allows us to adjust water temperature and current, creating a customized experience for dogs recovering from injuries, managing anxiety, or addressing age-related issues.

  • Did you know that water reduced your weight by 80%? The buoyancy of water reduces stress on joints, enabling safe, gentle exercise. This helps build strength and improve mobility without the risk of injury.

  • The warm water promotes relaxation and increases blood circulation, which aids healing and relieves pain and stiffness.

  • The smaller, contained space of a swim spa reduces anxiety for dogs, making it easier for them to enjoy their therapy sessions.

The Golden Glow Sauna

Because healing doesn’t stop at the water’s edge.

After your pup’s hydrotherapy session, they’re invited to relax in our cozy, dog-friendly dry sauna—a gentle, soothing space designed to enhance recovery and keep those golden joints feeling their best.

The sauna provides:

• Warmth for tired muscles

• Circulation support

• Additional joint relief

• Calming post-swim decompression

And the best part? Our sauna also includes red light therapy, a clinically-supported treatment that helps reduce inflammation, promote healing, and support tissue repair—all while your pup lounges like they own the place (because they do).

Towels and robes are provided for the full spa effect. Some pups nap. Some pose. Some look like they’re contemplating their memoirs. All leave a little more golden than they came in.

Safety Considerations:

While the benefits are notable, your dog’s safety is our priority. Sessions are tailored to ensure a comfortable experience:

• Temperature Control: The sauna maintains a mild heat level suitable for canines, preventing risks associated with overheating.

• Session Duration: Time spent in the sauna is carefully monitored to suit each dog’s tolerance and health status.

• Hydration: Fresh water is always available to keep your dog hydrated before and after sessions.
